FACEBOOK PAGE OVERVIEW

Its really amazing how FACEBOOK works.
First - you can add your friends and those friends can like your page.
Some people would have thought that when you like the page, that's it. Well, for an Entrepreneur like me, who's actually a newbie, it's nice to see that efforts in e-marketing and social networking like facebook works and I'll show you how.
First - when you create a FAN PAGE that will give you current insights or page overview.
Of course, at first - when we were just starting at Chalebrations, the percentage is not that high. well, at least somehow there's an improvement from March/April to present. wink
Second - you can also promote your account/page by creating an Ad & that has an overview too!
Facebook really has a lot to offer - from social life to business.
But for now - this is the only thing I can afford. wink

MEET CHERIE

Having Chalebrations - of course, there are a lot of people whom I need to be thankful for.


Meet Cherie, from FashionCouSense - a Fashion, Beauty & Travel Blog.
She actually helped me have this blog done. When I was really having a hard time fixing my blog / blog design - she was there to guide me and still guiding me whenever I have questions. Thank you.
We have known each other since grade school days. She was one of my brightest classmates back then. Jack of all trades. She was an artist - who can draw Pocahontas when we were grade 6, hahaha wink. She can sing, dance and do oratorical speech or any form of public speaking. She was really good. She have won a lot of contests and quiz bees and more. She was one of the class officers if I can remember and one of the representatives for Student Council. Even before - she was very active and very visible. She's really smart, funny and ever down to earth. 
 

Now since her blog is more on fashion, beauty and travel - I think this is a great opportunity for all of us to you know find time reading it especially when we are busy with work and extra curricular activities and didn't have time to choose on what to wear on casual days or on parties or for work or outside work. Its really important to present ourselves in the best possible way. This is actually one of the best guides for fashion, beauty and travel plus you may have a chance to win some prizes and can help others too since they are supporting a charity / foundation. Birthday parties these days are more of themed parties. Cool huh?! I know. Kids in this generation are so lucky that resources are available.

BEST ADVICE ON EVENT PLANNING vs. EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER



Over the past weeks, I have been busy organizing 2 weekevents or wikievents - weekend events hahaha and I'm sorry for not blogging. 2 big themed-birthday parties, one is strawberry shortcake inspired and mermaid / under the sea inspired party -- happened on a Saturday and Sunday, 3rd week of July 2011. Happiness of course, I super thank GOD for all the blessings coming lately. Although sometimes I honestly rant, whine, or hate myself for all the challenges, hardships and disappointment but actually EXPERIENCE is the BEST TEACHER. Thank you so much wink


Being a newbie in the business, I have to take note of the unexpected things on or during and or after the event.
1. Check the Theme - if its possible (check resources) and if its bagay to the age, location, personality of the birthday celebrant, etc.
2. Check the Location - if its applicable to the theme and if there are other policies especially it's a resort or clubhouse etc.
3. Check if there's a stage - manage each other's expectations regarding the full balloon / stage decoration
4. Check the Price - if its okay for them to spend that specific amount or if there's any additional.
5. Check the Parking - Especially if the location is a bit far and people will be bringing their cars
6. Check the Security - Are we secured? Is security available on or before and after the party/event.
7. Check the weather - this is one big factor to consider
8. Check other options


Of course there are other things that might happen during the event. You have to have PLAN A to Z. 
I am just happy that I have friends with me whom I can trust and I can ask help from all the time. Events Planning and Coordination is really not an easy job especially during the event itself, if things don't go according to plan. 
So far so good. Getting not-so-good feedback is part of the job, business and services you gave. Now even though there were troubles/problems/glitches, the party never stopped from there. Still at the end of it all - it was indeed successful.

I HEART PHOTO BOOTH! BAICAPTURE

BRIDE & BRIDESMAIDS

Hello friends! I'm back. Its 3am and I still cant sleep. Had a good night with my forever friends - Alyz & Jerome (SundayCoupleBrunch), Tina & Joe, Bandoja Twins, & Gerard. Been to Tenorio's Residence because we have celebrated Tito Armando's Birthday. Woot. From Lipa to Bergamo hahaha to Kamagong St. to Paseo de Magallanes and back, it was a longgggg Saturday. 
I woke up this morning went to Grace's place, checked the sounds and mobile then when to Kodak to fix some photos then Starbucks to meet Mike,waited for Deanna then went to Pasay Rd. to meet Alyz. From Bergamo we went straight to Merlene Marcelo's Couture/Shop at Kamagong St. We were kinda lost, or should I say we really didnt know the exact location until we finally arrived at the shop. Was caught in the middle of traffic too but didnt get bored coz we (Mike & I) missed Alyz so much & we didnt realize - umikot na kami ng umikot sa Kamagong kasi nalampasan ata namin ang shop ni Merlene! hahahah. We were busy catching up and shoot si kuya kala nya alm namin kina Merlene hihihih. & so we have arrived. Had our gown fitting. It was fun. Okrayan to the maxxxx. Si Merlene tumambling ke Alyz coz bangka na naman sa okrayan si ganda. Love the colors and designs. Love the shop. Love Love the idea of someone's getting married soon. So there, we saw the bride and groom to be - Tina and Joe, although, Alyz is actually getting married sooner than Tina's - a week before Tina's W, and saw Maj too from Gembso by Majella - one great wedding coordinator. Of course, after 48years Bandoja Twins' did arrive. Got their designs and had gown fitting then went to grab some meal at Pancake House in Paseo de Magallanes. Yum! I had Classic Country Pancakes and Mike got Sunrise Steak, then Alyz with her special waffles and Jerome's had clubhouse sandwich, Tina got Salisbury's Steak and Joe had some Pancakes too and the twins had pasta. After having satisfied at PH, we went to Starbucks to have some cup of coffee brought to you by Joe hihihih. Thank you Joe! hihihi. Of course it was a great meal (@PH - Pancake House) because it was again after so long that me and my childhood bestfriends had seen each other. Everyone's busy with their own jobs, businesses and events and so it's time to catch up.


I always love the idea of someone's getting married especially if they are close to you and you're part of the entourage. Its also overwhelming that even though I already got married I still have the chance to be part of my bestfriend's wedding entourage. Gowns are a bit pricey I know but deep in my heart, mahal man sha you'll do everything to make your friend's Wedding super bongga - even bongga from your own Wedding. & Even if you're not the bride, it feels like you're also a bride! hahaha Crazy but true. It had been a year since I got married and now that my friends are also getting married, I am happy for them coz they are now organizing their own Wedding and finally they have met their beast and frog prince! hahahaha. Sounds really EXCITING especially if everythings happening according to plan. 


We have been friends for more than a decade now and seeing us in this level of maturity or phase of life is really AMAZING! I am always thankful that though we don't see each other as often as we would loved to we still find time to gather and catch up things and still the same persons when we were younger. Amen. Now we miss Mona and Bonsai for not being there due to work and other responsibilities. Wish we could share the best of both worlds.

SESAME STREET THEMED PARTY AT CAYSASAY TAAL BATANGAS

Hello Friends,


I'm back. Been busy lately. I know right. Let's get back to business.







One of the recent events we had was the Charity Event held at Caysasay, Taal Batangas last weekend. It was a 1hour drive from Lipa and I was actually confused at first coz I went to Taal Cathedral instead of going to Caysasay Church/Orphanage.


It was Julio's 6th and Santino's 3rd birthday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Children's Home. We were with 18 children/orphans and sister Nessa and I forgot the other sister/nun's name and si Ate.


It was indeed again a humbling experience for us and a start of a new beginning too. I told myself to do it more often even if there's no occasion to celebrate. I was amazed with all the kids there. I felt so blessed having my own family and having all the freedom and material things in life. I told myself, napakaswerte ng mga batang nagpabirthday party sa orphanage. Seeing the difference made me feel sad or amazed or mixed emotions. 
The children/orphans seemed happy to see us though. They were all excited and cooperative. Most of them experienced facepaint for the first time. It was really amazing. I was happy coz I believe they were brought up well by the nuns who made them feel they belong and were all part of a/the family. However at some point I felt sad because I know that they were also longing for their own family or a family who will soon take care of them.


Maybe I have done this few years back when I was younger and sad to say I haven't done this since then. IKR. Part of the curriculum from my school before was to help children from the orphanage or to do KAPATIRAN. It was fun. Oh childhood days, when you're all worry-free.


& so everything went well until it rained so hard that we need to stop the program.
The magician was amazing too. He was fantastic! Of course the clown was funny and mute!! hahaha They were all talented people.


I heart the family too who gave us the opportunity to party with them, of course this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for Sam and Monique who had been there all the time.
I always heart Sesame Street theme coz its reallly reallly realllly colorfullll. Parang birthday mo talaga sa sobrang makulay! Everything was POWERFUL.


I heart this event. I always love Charity works. It makes me feel that I am nice too kahit minsan. hahaha!

Its true that Hannah Montana ROCKS! I never have known Miley Cyrus was the girl behind Hannah Montana until we had an event in PonteFino themed after Hannah Montana. haha! I know right. But please don't get me wrong, I know Miley's songs and some of  the lyrics. Thanked YouTube & Google for all the facts I have researched and gathered. It was indeed a super FUN experience & I have met a lotttttt of wonderful people too. Again, this event had really taught me a lot things, including loving purple over pink.


These are the highlights of this event.
1. 7 crazy gifts - symbolic gifts from her classmates from Stonyhurst
2. 7 popping balloons - from her friends and relatives.
3. 7 rocking wishes - from her closest cousins and grandma and mom
4. 7 cool shades - from cool family members like cool grandpa and cool dad.


10 things I love about this EVENT.
1. Love the VENUE - PonteFino is the place to be. If you are staying in Batangas and you still dont have the venue for your event, either you go to Britz, or Baylosis or PonteFino. Of course there are some other venues but if you like great ambiance go to these places.


2. Love the BALLOONS and DECOR. Everything seemed perfect and hannah montana-ish. SAM & MONIQUE ENTERPRISES is THE BEST!


3. Love the KIDS!!! - they were really into Hannah Montana/Pop/Rockstar theme. They were wearing their beautiful outfit and dressed like a glam rockstar!! They were english speaking too! hahaha. Most of the kids were from Stonyhurst Southville International School and Everyone was participating on games and on-the-spot-trivia


4. LOVE the SERENATA Kids - I used to be a choir member and part of a choral group and I have remembered my childhood singing days when I saw them. Love the Energy! Love the Talent! Love the VOICE. I have never seen them before or have watched them before but they were really awesome. I suggest that you enroll your kids to SERENATA Music Center in Batangas if they have the talent in singing and dancing or even if they dont have the talent - They will eventually shine after enrolling for some classes. 


5. LOVE LOVE the CAKE & CUPCAKES - Meet Fadge Cravings. Super LOVE the design and its MASARAP too! Well, for themed CAKEs and CUPCAKEs go for them!


6. LOVE the PHOTOBOOTH! - Love KODAK because It's time to SMILE. Tarp was perfect too since it was personalized by Gia's parents.


7. LOVE the GOWNs - Gia's gown was from the princess of all gowns Miss Lauren Berberabe. It's true that she has the talent of creating beautiful gowns. love the color and the design.


8. I HEART the PHOTO GALLERY and Life Size Standee - Well, for a 7year-old-birthday-party, this was really bongga. I heart the Long legged tables hahaha. Thank you PonteFino.


9. I HEART the HOST - Meet Joan Hernandez. One talented woman =)


10. LOVE LOVE the FAMILY. - Thank you for a very humbling experience. Love your kids and Love Miss Maan. hihihi. Really nice family. Thank you!
